Humans are made for community and wired for connection. Like air and water, it’s a necessity.
It’s not healthy to go long periods of time without mindful human touch. Whether a personal intimacy or sacred intentional service, humans need to feel the lovingpresence of one another.
And those who go without, from infants to elders, suffer.
Touch, mindful and loving, is a consistent acknowledgement of your beingness. Who couldn’t use that?
And touch is more than fingers and skin. Touch is in the voice, the heart, the eyes, the breath, the body and mind. It is the purposeful contact with another.
Who couldn’t use that?
I sure could. And you could too. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking you are an island to yourself, or that you were meant to go it alone.
